The enemy will make you feel alone unless you sin and even more alone if you give into that sin.
Want to dismantle his schemes? Confess your weaknesses and sins to a trusted friend.
Of course, confess your sins to the Lord Jesus. He is our Savior who forgives and transforms us.
We are forgiven, once and for all.
But now we need healing.
And that’s where your trusted friend comes in. The friend who loves Jesus and points you to Him.
You’ve messed up. Somehow you’ve grieved the heart of God. We all do.
But He loves you and forgives you and nothing you’ve done can change that.
That doesn’t mean you won’t battle some hard emotions after your repentance; indeed, the enemy may prey on these feelings of guilt.
One thing is certain: shame festers in the dark.
So turn on the lights.
Call your friend that loves Jesus. Call her today.
She’ll be honored you did. And you’ll probably sharpen her faith journey in the process.
“Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” (James 5:16.)
