Be Strong. Take Heart. He’s Not Done.

C18A56B9-7CE4-4ED7-BFD0-04D36176B91CIf you’re reading your tattered Bible through tears this morning—

If you feel like broken pottery—

Psalm 31 puts words to our pain:

-I’m in distress.

-My eyes grow weak with sorrow.

-I‘m forgotten.

-My strength fails.

-I‘m an object of dread to my closest friends.

-I‘ve become like broken pottery.

But Psalm 31 also puts words to our Hope—

-But I trust in you, Lord.

-My times are in Your hands.

-How abundant are the good things you have stored up for those who fear you.

-He showed me the wonders of His love.

-You heard my cry for mercy.

You may feel at your weakest, but in Christ Jesus, you have the heart of a lion.

This very Psalm, that opens with tears and anguish, closes with triumphant anticipation —

“Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord.” (Psalm 31:24.)

Today, if you feel like broken pottery, remember your Potter. He made the heavens and the earth, and His mighty hand is still on you.

BE STRONG.

TAKE HEART.

HE’S NOT DONE.

This is a really good reminder for this older woman who just had an interview to work as a Paraprofessional with Special Needs children in an Elementary school here in Somerset,KY. Will you pray with me for strength for this journey if I get this position?

I so needed to read these posts. So needed. Thank you… please pray for me. I’d give specifics if I knew what I need. I need Jesus I need to know I’m His. For real. I need to be set free. He says whom the Lord makes free will be free indeed… I need Jesus to be real to me. I keep saying I. Only because if I haven’t Jesus in me. If I’m lost forever then nothing and no one will ever matter. Least of all myself..

Christina, I am absolutely praying for you. I am so sorry for what you’re walking through. You need only call out to Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life to surrender your life to Him—He loves you and is here, waiting to walk closely with you. Do you have a friend or acquaintance who loves the Lord and can help you on this journey? Don’t walk it out alone. Praying for you.
